A diverse group of young professionals celebrates together in a modern office environment. The woman in the center smiles warmly while holding a closed laptop, as her colleagues cheer enthusiastically behind her.

ABOUT INTHEWORK

We built the workspace we wished we had.

InTheWork exists because no team should need five logins just to get one project done.

It started with a familiar frustration

A Monday morning lost to checking four different apps just to find out what happened over the weekend. A decision buried in a Slack thread. A meeting nobody took notes for. A time-off request that fell through the cracks because HR lived in a tool nobody opened.

A man wearing a white t-shirt leans over a table, focused on writing in a notebook. In the foreground, the back of a colleague's head and a laptop screen are visible, with a paper coffee cup sitting on the desk.
A portrait of a woman with short curly hair wearing a light blue button-down shirt, sitting at a conference table and smiling directly at the camera while holding a pen.
A group of four diverse colleagues gathering around a large wooden conference table under a modern ring light, collaborating and reviewing papers, design sheets, and colorful document boxes.
A bright, sunlit coworking space where a woman works on a desktop computer in the foreground, while another colleague in a yellow jacket works further down the long white desk organized with notebooks and small plants.
An overhead, top-down view of four people collaborating around a clean white table. Two are typing on laptops, one is writing in a notebook, and a small succulent and pen holder sit in the center.

The Heart Behind InTheWork

The Heart Behind InTheWork

Behind every feature is a simple belief: work should feel lighter, not more crowded. That belief shapes how we build the product — and how we work as a team, a company.

Our Core Beliefs

Our Core Beliefs

AI should serve, not perform

Every feature has to remove real friction — not just look impressive in a demo.

Context shouldn't have a shelf life

A decision made in chat, a file shared on a call — none of it should require manual work to stay connected.

Simple should scale

What works for a 5-person team should still make sense at 500 people, without becoming a different product.

Built to be replaced rarely, not patched constantly

We'd rather ship fewer features that work reliably than chase every trend.

Our Culture

Our Culture

Remote-first, async by default

Most decisions happen in writing, not in meetings — the same principle we build into the product.

Small team, real ownership

Everyone owns outcomes, not just tasks. We'd rather move fast than need more coordination than output.

Direct feedback, no politics

We say what we mean, early and plainly — about product decisions and about each other's work.

Build slow trust, move fast on work

We don't need long meetings to align — just clear writing and people who follow through on what they say.
